Abstract

Recurrent toxin-mediated perineal erythema (RTMPE) is a dermatologic condition caused by an exaggerated T-lymphocyte response to toxins produced by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes. Although initially described in adolescents and young adults, pediatric cases are increasingly recognized. We report eleven pediatric patients diagnosed with RTMPE with good responde to oral antibiotic at a tertiary referral hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
