NMNarendra MalhotraJMJaideep MalhotraNMNeharika Malhotra

Key Points

  • The aim is to present ten practical commandments that help decode the aging process and provide antiaging strategies.
  • Synthesis of current evidence on aging and antiaging strategies.
  • Analysis of biological rationale and translational clinical evidence.
  • Summarization of realistic interventions for clinicians and researchers.
  • Identified ten key principles that explain the aging process.
  • Each principle includes evidence and practical strategies for extending healthspan.
  • References provided include foundational and recent clinical studies.

Abstract

Aging is a natural process; all born will age.Aging is a multilayered biological process that increases vulnerability to disease and functional decline.Modern geroscience frames aging as an ensemble of interacting molecular and cellular processes -the "hallmarks" that drive tissue dysfunction and age-related disease. This article synthesizes current evidence into 10 practical "commandments" for decoding aging and applying antiaging strategies aimed at extending healthspan (years lived in good health). For each commandment, we summarize the biological rationale, translational/clinical evidence, and realistic interventions for clinicians and researchers.References highlight foundational reviews, recent translational advances, and selected clinical studies.
