Key Points

  • To mathematically address the Hubble tension by exploring the effects of phase resistance in a non-uniform cosmos.
  • Utilized Jensen's inequality to analyze cosmic expansion rates.
  • Calculated expansion rate in cosmic voids versus a homogeneous model based on CMB data.
  • Derived a local expansion value for H0.
  • Found a local expansion rate of H0 ≈ 74.07 km/s/Mpc.
  • Demonstrated alignment with independent supernova measurements.
  • Avoided the need for new physics in explaining Hubble tension.

Abstract

This paper offers a mathematical resolution to the Hubble tension by accounting for the nonlinearity of phase resistance in a clumped universe. Using Jensen's inequality, we demonstrate that the expansion rate in cosmic voids exceeds the homogeneous baseline extrapolated from CMB data. The model analytically derives a local expansion value of H0 ≈ 74.07 km/s/Mpc, aligning precisely with independent supernova measurements without invoking new physics. This short communication is based on the comprehensive theoretical framework 'The Universe as a Hydro-Elastic 4D Mechanism' (Archived at Zenodo: DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19616545).
