Abstract Background Emerging evidence suggests that periodontal disease contributes to systemic inflammation, potentially increasing stroke risk. Yet, cross-cultural comparisons of this association remain scarce. Objective To evaluate the association between periodontal disease and stroke occurrence among adults in Lebanon and France, considering demographic, behavioral, and cardiovascular factors. Methods A multicentric cross-sectional study was performed using standardized questionnaires distributed to the general population and healthcare professionals. Collected data included oral hygiene practices, medical history, and validated clinical risk scores (CHA2DS2-VASc, Charlson Comorbidity Index). Statistical analyses explored correlations between periodontal disease status and stroke history. Results Writing of the results manuscript is in progress.
