Contribution of the Anti-Government and Western Maharashtra: A Critical Analysis

A leading leader in the Indian freedom struggle, he launched an armed struggle against British rule, proposed the concept of independent government and established a 'Patri Sarkar'. He continued to work tirelessly even after independence, playing a significant role in the political and social spheres. Under the leadership of Krantisinh Nana Patil, a parallel government was run in parts of Satara and Sangli districts, defying British rule. In this, the local people and the 'Tufan Sena' played an important role. Armed revolutionaries worked secretly in Pune, Nashik and Satara districts. They made bombs, looted government treasury, and delivered messages.
