Abstract

Endometrial cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer. and its incidence has increased worldwide in recent years. The main presentation of EC is AUB. EC incidence has demonstrated a steady increase associated with conditions such as nulliparity, chronic anovulation, irregular menstruation and type 2 diabetes mellitus, using HRT, positive family history of endometrial cancer. All cases in the study had been subjected to : (full history taking, Clinical examination (general, abdominal and local Gynecological examination), abdominal and transvaginal examination to measure endometrial thickness, endometrial biopsy to detect the nature of the pathology) Using office hysteroscopic endometrial biopsy is agood method for diagnosis as It's minimaly invasive procedure. Better than novak and other blind techniques as it doesn't miss any lesion so it has alittle false results. Better than D&C as it doesn't need anathesia so its easily done. We evaluated sensitivity and specificity of Hysteroscopic finding in detection of malignancy. The most sensitive hysteroscopic finding is hyperemic endometrium. And the most specific hysteroscopic finding (ulcerative and necrotic areas, intracavitry mass). The best cutoff point of endometrial thickness to predict the endometrial carcinoma was more than 10.5mm.
