Digital literacy training programmes for adult women in rural Ethiopian villages have emerged as a critical component of broader ICT initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide. No specific empirical data or methodology was employed within the scope of this piece; rather, an analysis of existing literature and case studies provides insights into the challenges and successes encountered during ICT training programmes for rural women. While significant progress has been made towards enhancing digital literacy through training programmes, there remains room for improvement in terms of sustained engagement and skill retention among participants. Future initiatives should focus on developing more tailored training curricula that address the specific needs and contexts of rural women, alongside efforts to promote long-term use and technological advancement within these communities.
