Abstract

This paper develops a minimal geometric framework in which mass, gravity, quantum fluctuations, and electromagnetic structure emerge from a constrained system of null directions. The construction begins with three future-directed null vectors subject to a global closure condition. Although each vector individually lies on the light cone, their non-collinearity generates a timelike invariant, providing a geometric origin of mass without introducing additional degrees of freedom. An effective spacetime metric is constructed directly from the null configuration, so gravity is not introduced as an independent field. By requiring locality, scale invariance, and minimality, the resulting variational structure yields the Laplace equation in the static limit and reproduces Newtonian gravity. The paper further shows that fluctuations of the constrained system are confined to a reduced configuration space with a single physical degree of freedom. This leads naturally to a logarithmic fluctuation spectrum and to an emergent effective coupling constant determined by geometric averaging. A central result is that the compactness of the physical fluctuation mode gives rise to a local phase redundancy identified with U(1) gauge symmetry. In this way, the connection and curvature associated with the fluctuation sector reproduce the structural form of electromagnetism as an emergent phenomenon rather than a separately postulated interaction. The framework also implies a global coherence scale associated with the closure constraint. This scale links infrared and ultraviolet behavior and leads to a characteristic ultra-low-frequency relaxation regime through the relation Omega = c / L. The precise numerical prefactors remain dependent on the detailed construction of the functional measure, but the structural relations follow directly from the constrained null geometry. The paper presents a conceptually closed framework in which gravity, quantum fluctuations, and gauge structure arise from a single geometric starting point. The remaining open problems are technical and concern the explicit mathematical construction of the functional measure, Jacobians, and normalization factors on the constrained configuration space.
