Key Points

  • The aim is to revise spatial architecture in k-Foam Theory, establishing the octet truss as a foundational model for the vacuum.
  • Reconceptualized the vacuum structure as an octet truss model.
  • Explored the implications of the Handoff Principle on particle generation and interactions.
  • Analyzed the stability of the helium-4 nucleus and redefined concepts such as beta decay.
  • The octet truss model provides a unified framework for elementary particle generation.
  • The Handoff Principle explains physical phenomena via torsion transfer among grid nodes.
  • Stability of helium-4 (alpha particle) aligns with the concept of Complete Complementation in the spatial grid.

Abstract

This working paper presents a fundamental revision of the spatial architecture within k-Foam Theory, marking a decisive shift back to the "Octet Truss" model as the definitive skeleton of the vacuum. Moving beyond the simplified cubic lattice, this version establishes that the vacuum is a gapless, mechanically stable octet truss structure. This structural refinement provides a unified explanation for the generation of elementary particles and the nature of physical interactions through a single underlying logic: The Handoff Principle. Key Breakthroughs and Theoretical Pillars: - The Handoff Principle: All physical phenomena are determined by whether a "twist" (torsion) in the grid can be passed to a neighboring node. - Pattern A (Purge): When no handoff partner is available, torsion accumulates and bursts, materializing as particles. - Pattern B (Handoff): When a partner is present, torsion flows smoothly, manifesting as interactions or currents. - Octet Truss Architecture: Redefining the grid as an octet truss (8 vertices and 18 edges, totaling 26 elements) naturally derives the Z=26 Moore neighborhood and the 26ⁿ recursive hierarchy without the need for forced numerical matching. - The Alpha Particle as the "Perfect State": The stability of the helium-4 nucleus (alpha particle) is revealed as a state of "Complete Complementation" (N=26), where all 26 available sockets of the spatial grid are perfectly synchronized and monitored. - Redefinition of Beta Decay: The instability of the neutron is geometrically described as a "handoff failure" within the udd terminal configuration, leading to a forced topological purge. V4 marks a turning point in k-Foam Theory: we have stopped chasing "magic numbers" and started following the physical structure. When the geometry is correct, the fundamental constants of the universe emerge as a natural consequence.
