Abstract

This paper presents Motocore, a blockchain-based vehicle registration and ownership verification system designed to ensure secure, transparent, and tamper-proof management of vehicle records. The system uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, Node.js with REST APIs for backend services, and MongoDB for data storage. Blockchain functionality is implemented using Solidity smart contracts to maintain immutable ownership records. The system supports user registration with admin approval, vehicle registration, document management, controlled access to vehicle information, and a multi-stage ownership transfer mechanism involving owner and admin validation. Vehicle verification is performed using the registration number without relying on QR codes or serial identifiers. The proposed system enhances data integrity, reduces fraud, improves transparency, and simplifies vehicle ownership management compared to traditional systems.
