Concerning the issue of forming research culture of future teachers in the context of modern integration of science and education

This article examines the critical need to form a research culture among future teachers of higher education institutions in the context of the modern integration of science and education. The modernization of Ukrainian higher education requires teachers not only deep theoretical knowledge, but also the ability to independently conduct scientific research, critically analyze the results and apply them in practice in teaching. Existing research is synthesized, and the key components of the research culture are highlighted: motivational, cognitive, activity-based and reflective. The essence and methods of forming this research culture as a key element of professional training based on activity-based, personality-oriented and competency-based approaches are substantiated. Research culture is defined as an integrative characteristic that encompasses general culture, professional knowledge/skills, interdisciplinary competence, methodological training and motivation. The article emphasizes that the formation of a research culture is largely based on the integration of science and education by including modern scientific achievements in curricula. It is emphasized that inviting leading specialists, analyzing scientific publications and discussing modern cases are effective modern strategies, and involving students in scientific activities and significantly contribute to the development of critical and analytical thinking. It is proven that cooperation with research laboratories, participation in international scientific projects and educational programs is vital, as they introduce advanced technologies, improve critical thinking, develop teamwork skills and expand the scientific worldview, contributing to adaptation to global trends. It is emphasized that the upbringing of a research culture in future teachers of higher education institutions is fundamental for the development of analytical thinking, conducting research and effective application of knowledge, that is, it is a key element of pedagogical activity.
