Current challenges in the field of law enforcement, caused by the dynamics of crime, terrorist threats and social conflicts, require a high level of professional training for law enforcement officers. The article examines a comprehensive approach to the formation of professional competencies of future police officers, which involves the integration of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and psychological resilience. It emphasises the need to adapt educational programmes to modern requirements through the use of simulation technologies, interdisciplinary methods and psychological training. Based on an analysis of scientific works, the key areas for improving training have been identified: theoretical and methodological aspect – updating the content of training to include the disciplines of law, psychology, cybersecurity, and risk management; practical component – introduction of simulators, tactical and special training and scenarios that simulate real service conditions; psychological training – development of stress resistance, communication skills and the ability to make quick decisions in critical situations. Special attention is paid to the role of teamwork and individual psychological characteristics that affect the effectiveness of performing official duties. The importance of continuous improvement of skills through a system of professional development and adaptation to new threats is emphasised. It is noted that only a systematic approach that combines an updated theoretical base, practical training and psychophysiological training can ensure the readiness of law enforcement officers to act in high-risk situations. The results of the study can be used to develop new training programmes and methods for assessing the quality of specialist training.
