Detailed magnetic survey (magnetometry) was chosen as the most efficient and effective method of locating the type of archaeological anomalies which might be expected at this site. All survey techniques followed the guidance set out by CIfA (2020) and the European Archaeology Council (EAC) (2016). Bartington Cart System Traverse Interval 1.0m Sample Interval 0.125m A detailed magnetometer survey was conducted over approximately 2 hectares at Northleach, Gloucestershire. Evidence for former ridge and furrow cultivation is visible in the data, though no other features of potential archaeological interest have been mapped. Linear trends of uncertain origin are likely to be natural or agricultural. A conjectural field boundary has been identified, along with a pipe or drain associated with a former well. Finally, areas of natural magnetic variation and modern ferrous anomalies have been mapped.
