Abstract

We argue that if time is fundamentally bidirectional, then any change—no matter how large in scale, depth, or duration—is globally invisible. In a bidirectional temporal regime, changes cannot accumulate into a causal narrative and therefore cannot be recorded as history. Observable effects may appear only as local fluctuations or, globally, only after time undergoes asymmetrization through an evolutionary selection process. We show that visibility, statistics, and historical structure do not arise from the mere existence of change itself, but from the selection of a temporal direction. This result provides an ontological foundation for metaformalism and justifies the necessity of pre-statistical and pre-classical analytical frameworks for understanding meta-existence, metanumbers, chimera states, and the emergence of classical reality. It follows that “not visible” does not mean “non-existent.”
