Abstract Lipomas are the most prevalent mesenchymal tumors found in the human body. Approximately one in every thousand individuals will develop a lipoma at some stage in their life. Most lipomas tend to occur in the trunk and upper extremities. Lipoma is a common tumor of soft tissue with rare occurrence in the oral cavity, accounting for only 1%–4% of benign oral tumors. The buccal mucosa, tongue, and floor of the mouth are among the common locations. They are slow-growing and usually asymptomatic in nature. Complete excision of the lipoma is essential for treatment. A case of a sizable intraoral lipoma located in the mental region of a 32-year-old male patient is reported. It was excised under local anesthesia, and a follow-up after 12 months revealed excellent healing with no signs of recurrence.
