The subject of the study is the features of the relationship between the level of formation and maturity of the professional identity of specialists in the rehabilitation of disabled people and people with disabilities and the degree of expression of their professional burnout. The aim of the work was to identify the sources of destructive professional development of specialists in rehabilitation centers. The study was conducted within the framework of the concept of destructive professionogenesis, which is understood as the process of the emergence and evolution of destructive forms of individual professional and personal development. The study was carried out using a modified method by A.A. Ozerina, aimed at identifying the level of formation and maturity of professional identity at different stages of professional development, and the method of K. Maslach, which allows determining the degree of expression of professional burnout. A total of 210 specialists were interviewed, including 42 specialists in pedagogical (defectologists), psychological (psychologists), social (social workers), physical (specialists in adaptive physical education) and medical (rehabilitation doctors) rehabilitation, whose professional experience ranged from 7 to 35 years. No relationship was found between professional burnout and the experience and age of rehabilitation specialists; there were moderate relationships with the level of formation and maturity of professional identity in different periods of professional and personal development: during the period of professional self-determination, professional adaptation and professionalization. It was concluded that destructive forms of professional genesis of specialists in rehabilitation of disabled people and people with disabilities are due to unresolved problems at each stage, as a result of which it is possible to distinguish identification-based, adaptation-based and functionally-based forms of professional destruction. Prospects for further research are related to the identification of psychological patterns and mechanisms of the origin and development of such forms of destructive profession genesis.
