Abstract

This is the second in a series of interviews conducted by Malay Bera and organized by the International Society for Folk Narrative Research (ISFNR), aimed at reconstructing the sparsely documented early history of the ISFNR (established in 1962) in relation to the disciplinary history of folkloristics. The interview was originally published in the ISFNR Newsletter, no. 14 (Autumn 2025 issue).
