The subject of the research is the system for preventing professional burnout among company personnel. The focus of the research is the actions of management in the prevention of professional burnout among staff. The aim of the work is to specify the functions of managers in the prevention of professional burnout among personnel. The author thoroughly describes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study: the evolution of the definition of "professional burnout," the symptoms of the phenomenon, as well as the factors influencing its formation and development. The author reveals the mechanism of the emergence of professional burnout among personnel by describing the theoretical model of "Job Demands – Resources." Particular attention is paid to the tools for preventing professional burnout among employees used in the practices of large domestic and foreign companies. The theoretical analysis is supplemented by the results of an expert video interview focused on identifying effective tools for preventing professional burnout among personnel and determining the role of managers in this process. The research methods include: comparative analysis; expert video interviews conducted among sixteen HR specialists from large Russian companies. The results of the research: symptoms and factors of professional burnout among personnel were identified; current methods of preventing professional burnout among personnel were determined; the functions of managers in preventing professional burnout among personnel were specified. Practical recommendations were proposed for companies and their leaders on preventing professional burnout among staff. A list of special preventive measures was proposed, including the direct involvement of managers and aimed at preventing the occurrence of professional burnout among employees. The scope of application of the results: personnel management in companies; prevention and overcoming the situation of professional burnout among staff; managing employee well-being. The novelty of the research results: a definition of the concept of "professional burnout" has been formulated, and the functions of managers in preventing professional burnout among personnel have been specified. The conclusion is made about the necessity of systematic involvement of managers in the prevention of professional burnout among personnel using special measures.
