Abstract

What becomes visible about non-egoic awareness once inherited epistemic constraints are removed. This essay examines cross-traditional reports of reflexive, non-egoic awareness—awareness that knows itself without ego, narration, or subject–object split—treating them as a coherent phenomenological pattern while keeping metaphysical conclusions open. Part of the Return to Consciousness research program exploring consciousness-first metaphysics. Full project: https://brunoton.github.io/return-to-consciousness/
