Using the biographies of Gigi Wu, Uli Emanuele, and Hannes Arch, the paper explores the fusion of subject and technology, the stimulation of the limbic system, and the resulting "time-theft" that leads to fatal safety risks. It argues for a methodical return to written documentation and scientific archiving (Zenodo, Archive.org) as a form of resistance against the fleeting and dangerous attention economy of social media platforms.
