Key Points

  • The study aimed to assemble and annotate the genome of Soybean ZH13, enhancing understanding of its genetics and evolution.
  • Generated five types of sequencing data: PacBio Hifi reads, ONT ultra-long reads, Illumina WGS reads, Illumina Hi-C reads, and Bionano reads.
  • Performed comprehensive annotation of the genome.
  • Characterized centromeres and telomeres and analyzed structural variations.
  • Successful genome assembly with detailed centromere and telomere annotations.
  • Identification of structural variations providing new insights into soybean genetics and evolution.

Abstract

For a Soybean ZH13, five types of sequencing data were initially generated: PacBio Hifi reads, ONT ultra-long reads, Illumina WGS reads, Illumina Hi-C reads, and Bionano reads. We performed comprehensive annotation and precise characterization of centromeres and telomeres, as well as analysis of structural variations, which provided further insights into soybean genetics and evolution.
