Abstract

To study and optimize the jaw crusher performance and tooth profile parameters, Taking the process of crushing tungsten ores by the jaw crusher as the specific analysis object in this paper, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of ordinary parallel tooth and high and low teeth. First, the discrete element method (DEM) analysis model of the tungsten ore based on the Tavares model is established. On this basis, the impacts of the tooth distance, the tooth height difference, and the tooth base width on the jaw crusher performance are explored by the method of combination of MBD-DEM co-simulation and response surface methodology (RSM), and the performance prediction model of jaw crusher is obtained. Finally, taking productivity as the main optimization goal and crushing force and discharge granularity as the auxiliary optimization goal, multi-objective optimization is carried out through Design-Expert software, and the corresponding optimized values are 37.5, 7.5, and 19 mm. The feasibility of the optimization results is verified, the productivity can be increased by 11.3%, the crushing force is significantly reduced and the uniformity of the crushed particle size is improved.
