Key Points

  • The research aims to explore the equivariant Kuznetsov component of cubic fourfolds impacted by a symplectic involution.
  • Analyzed the symplectic action on cubic fourfolds
  • Examined the derived category associated with the fixed locus
  • Interpreted components of the Fano variety of lines
  • Established equivalence between the equivariant Kuznetsov component and the derived category of a surface
  • Identified the fixed locus as a critical component in the study

Abstract

Abstract We study the equivariant Kuznetsov component of a general cubic fourfold with a symplectic involution. We show that is equivalent to the derived category of a surface , where is given as a component of the fixed locus of the induced symplectic action on the Fano variety of lines on .
