In the modern world with more frequent intercultural interactions and globalization blurring borders, the study of linguistic and cultural aspects such as expressivity gains particular importance. Spanish-speaking countries represent a multicultural environment with different variants and dialects of the language, as well as an extensive cultural heritage. This diversity provides a unique context for analyzing how expressive language tools shape ethnic identity and influence communication style. In this regard, we find it relevant to study various ethnostylistic features of communication of native Spanish speakers, which is characterized by a variety of different means of expressivity as a tool for the realization of communication tasks. As one of the ways of realization of such aims and a typical attribute of Spanish communication, in particular verbal communication, is expressivity, which represents the subject of the present study. This study's methodology comprises qualitative analysis of paraverbal, lexical and syntactic instruments used in different contexts, as well as content analysis of conversations. The methodological and theoretical framework of the study is based on the works of Prof. Tatiana Larina devoted to the national styles of verbal communication, as well as the studies of K. Vyalyak, M. Kutieva, and O. Fedosova. The academic novelty of the present study consists in the fact that it not only records the existing approaches to the study of Spanish means of expressivity, but also offers a new interpretation based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining linguistic, cultural, and sociological aspects. The results of the study emphasize that expressivity in Spanish- speaking communication is not only a way of conveying emotions, but also a tool of sociocultural identification, interaction and formation of interpersonal bonds, and it makes this aspect of communication important to be investigated by both linguists and culture experts.
