In recent years, healthcare has undergone a rapid transformation, characterized by advancements not only in medical treatments and therapeutic procedures but also in patient care and the safety of healthcare personnel. A crucial component of this evolution is the development and maintenance of cleanroom environments within medical facilities. These controlled spaces are designed to minimize the concentration of airborne particles, microorganisms, and other contaminants, thereby ensuring the quality and safety of healthcare services. Cleanrooms play a fundamental role in preventing nosocomial infections, protecting immunocompromised patients, and maintaining sterile conditions during surgical interventions and pharmaceutical production. This article presents a conceptual design of a ventilation, cooling, and humidification system for cleanrooms in healthcare settings, with a focus on energy performance analysis, investment and operational cost estimation, and a schematic layout of the final facility configuration. The proposed system addresses the growing demand for environmental control in healthcare, in line with strict hygiene standards and operational efficiency. Moreover, cleanroom technologies are increasingly being adopted in other high-precision industries, such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, microelectronics, optics, and battery or semiconductor manufacturing. These sectors require rigorous contamination control due to regulatory standards, product miniaturization, and the need for high- quality outputs. The implementation of cleanroom systems represents not only a technological challenge but also an organizational commitment to quality and innovation. This study highlights the importance of cleanroom environments in modern healthcare and industrial applications, outlines their classification and technical requirements, and evaluates their broader impact on safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various fields.
