Community industrialization and capitalization risk degrading healthy environmental quality. Industrial development not considering healthy environmental aspect risks incurring various diseases such as Acute Respiratory Tract Infections (ARIs), diarrhea, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), and Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). Various stakeholders implement the attempt of socializing healthy environment to prevent and manage unhealthy environmental-related diseases. In Surakarta, Health Office and Public Health Center collaborate with the community to achieve a successful and sustainable participatory environmental health program. Therefore, this research is carried out to analyze the participatory environmental health social practice in disease prevention and management in Surakarta, Indonesia in Giddens’ perspective of structuration. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with an exploratory approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and document processing. Data validation was carried out using source and method triangulations and data analysis using an interactive model. The result of research shows that the environmental health social practice implemented by Health Office and Public Health Centers in Surakarta gives emphasis on the aspect of participation in supporting the successful sustainable environmental health program so that the program can be beneficial to be applied to local, national, or global context.
