Disaster management in school settings is essential for cultivating a culture of safety within school communities. This article presents a bibliometric review to investigate research trends on disaster management in Indonesian schools using the Google Scholar database. The metadata were filtered based on publication year (2010–2024), source type (journals and conference proceedings), and language (Bahasa Indonesia and English). A total of 659 publications were included, consisting of 78.8% journal articles and 21.2% conference papers. Most studies were concentrated on Java Island. The leading source of the included studies was IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science. The most productive contributors were S. Ayub and I.W. Gunada, publishing 10 documents. The keyword analysis generated seven thematic clusters: (1) disaster mitigation in elementary schools, (2) educational tools for disaster awareness, (3) knowledge and attitude toward disaster preparedness, (4) earthquake and tsunami preparedness in schools, (5) implementation of disaster-safe school programs, (6) disaster risk reduction education, and (7) flood preparedness in schools. Several topics, such as the involvement of students with special needs, structural safety assessments, and collaborative networks, have received limited attention. Strengthening collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches is essential to enhance the impact of research on disaster-safe school practices.
