This technical note clarifies a fundamental limitation of weak gravitational lensing that is independent of observational precision. It shows that improvements in angular resolution and signal-to-noise do not modify the structural non-invertibility of the weak-lensing operator, and therefore do not guarantee ontological closure in reconstructed mass maps. The note delineates the logical scope of high-resolution lensing inferences without questioning their scientific value.
