This study explores the "staged model of cosmic creation" as presented in the Qur’an, focusing on a comparative textual and scientific analysis of the Arabic words ṭaḥā (الطحى) and daḥā (الدحى) and their Semitic roots. By tracing their linguistic evolution and semantic fields across ancient Semitic languages, the research uncovers nuanced meanings that illuminate the Qur’anic depiction of creation stages. The study combines philological, etymological, and scientific perspectives to provide a comprehensive understanding of these key terms and their cosmological significance.
