Abstract

La industria minera se caracteriza por presentar altos índices de accidentabilidad, lo que evidencia la necesidad de implementar estrategias efectivas para la gestión de riesgos laborales. Utilizando dos variables independientes (comportamientos seguros y barreras para la implementación de SBC), se desarrollaron modelos de regresión para predecir los índices de frecuencia, severidad y accidentabilidad en una empresa contratista minera. Para ello, se empleó la técnica de regresión escalonada, que consiste en agregar o eliminar variables hasta encontrar la combinación óptima. Los resultados muestran una correlación positiva y significativa con los índices de frecuencia y severidad, mientras que las barreras para la implementación de SBC inciden negativamente en dichos índices. Los modelos desarrollados presentan una capacidad predictiva de 68.55%, 79.76% y 61.25%, respectivamente; estos modelos ofrecen una herramienta valiosa para la gestión preventiva, ya que permiten a las empresas mineras contratistas anticipar situaciones de riesgo y adoptar medidas proactivas.
