Frugal Reverse Innovation at the Service of a Sustainable Health System : Interests and Principles of a New Health Care Model

In the field of sustainable healthcare, technological innovation may not require colossal investments that aim to enrich shareholders and stakeholders rather than providing a large proportion of patients with access to quality care. To this end, the use of frugality in the means and the approach with monitoring of its transfer throughout the world, seems to offer a very promising solution for building care systems adapted to the needs of communities, offering the best possible quality and above all preserving the dignity of each person. In this perspective, we will first introduce the concept of reverse frugal innovation and explain how it would be useful and interesting in a sustainable approach to a health system. Then we will show the interest of a new sustainable model of health care. Finally, we will reveal the principles that should guide the latter.
