We present a genome assembly from an individual female Alviniconcha strummeri (Joe Strummer’s Punk-rock Snail; Mollusca; Gastropoda; Provannidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 453.80 megabases. Most of the assembly (95.21%) is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.35 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 18 447 protein-coding genes. From the metagenome data, we recovered seven bins, of which three were high-quality MAGs.
