ABSTRACT Amphibian populations worldwide face threats from emerging infectious diseases. We screened frog‐biting midges ( Corethrella spp.) from Central and South America for Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis , Ranaviruses, and Trypanosoma spp. using qPCR. All three pathogens were detected, indicating that Corethrella may act as vectors and represent promising tools for xenosurveillance of amphibian diseases.
