Abstract: Tantricism in Assam is a multifaceted spiritual tradition that intertwines with the region's diverse cultural and religious landscape. Central to this tradition is the Kamakhya Temple, a significant site of Shakti worship, representing the feminine divine and embodying the core principles of Tantric philosophy. This paper explores the key aspects of Tantricism in Assam, focusing on the Vamachara tradition that emphasizes transgressive practices and the dissolution of dualities in the pursuit of spiritual liberation. Through an examination of rituals, community practices, and the annual Ambubachi Mela, the research highlights how these elements contribute to a dynamic and evolving Tantric tradition that is deeply rooted in local beliefs yet influenced by broader spiritual currents. Ultimately, Tantricism in Assam serves as a vital expression of personal and communal spirituality, illustrating the ongoing relevance of Tantric principles in contemporary society and the transformative potential of engaging with the sacred.
