Metal-hydride-free one-pot synthesis of InSb/InP core/shell quantum dots for light-emitting diodes

CZC ZhangHYHiroyuki YamadaDLDaniel Limouchi

Key Points

  • The research aims to develop a novel one-pot synthesis method for InSb/InP core-shell quantum dots and assess their electroluminescent properties.
  • Developed a one-pot synthesis approach for quantum dots
  • Focused on core-shell structure using InSb and InP materials
  • Tested electroluminescent properties in light-emitting diodes
  • Successfully synthesized InSb/InP core-shell quantum dots
  • Demonstrated electroluminescence from LEDs incorporating these quantum dots as an active layer
  • Indicated potential for improved performance in light-emitting applications

Abstract

A one-pot synthesis of InSb/InP core–shell quantum dots (QDs) was developed, enabling the first observation of electroluminescence from LEDs with these QDs as the active layer.
