It has been a defining, and perhaps unconventional, philosophy of Nuts About Leadership that the work itself should be the unmediated star. For 55 papers, the editorial board deliberately chose to let the rigorous, peer-reviewed scholarship speak directly to the readers without the framing or preface of an introductory editorial. We believed this created a purer, more direct scholarly conversation, placing the focus squarely on the authors’ insights into leadership and foresight, not on our commentary. However, a closure of this nature demands a different protocol. Silence at an ending is not neutrality; it can be misinterpreted as absence or neglect. Therefore, we break our tradition to provide this necessary bookend to articulate the journey’s purpose, honor its contributions, and formally protect its legacy. This first and final editorial is not a reversal of our principle but its fulfillment: a responsible act of scholarly stewardship, ensuring the record is complete, contextualized, and closed with the same intentionality with which it was opened.
