Abstract

Objective. To analyze in-hospital outcomes of robot-assisted aortoiliac reconstructions for steno-occlusive lesions. Material and methods. In 2019—2023, there were 188 aortoiliac reconstructions for steno-occlusive lesions (TASC II C and D lesions). Interventions were performed using standard open technique (47.9%, n=90) or da Vinci Xi surgical system (52.1%, n=98). We evaluated in-hospital outcomes of both techniques. Results. This study demonstrated shorter hospital-stay and less intraoperative blood loss in the robot-assisted intervention group. The incidence of in-hospital complications was higher in open surgery (n=10), and 30% of cases were associated with postoperative wound infection. Less invasive robot-assisted procedures contribute to lower pain severity and favorable postoperative recovery.
