Key Points

  • The aim is to develop a portable coordinate system for accurately representing the operational posture of autonomous agents at a specific moment.
  • Introduced the P-MATRIX Runtime State Representation as a structured coordinate system.
  • Developed four evaluation functions and two composite scores to describe agent posture.
  • Established a discrete operating mode and risk classification level.
  • Encoded the representation in a JSON format that maintains twelve invariants.
  • Successfully created a representation system that specifies state without implying action.
  • Facilitated a clearer framework for understanding autonomous agent behavior and risk levels.

Abstract

This paper introduces the P-MATRIX Runtime State Representation: an externalized coordinate system that captures the operational posture of an autonomous agent at a single point in time. The representation consists of four evaluation functions, two composite scores, a discrete operating mode, and a risk classification level, all encoded in a single JSON record with twelve formally defined invariants. The format is non-executive by design: it specifies state, not action or control. Grounded in Korean Patent Application No. 10-2025-0216047.
