Electrocatalytic Oxidation This cover highlights a hybrid electrocatalytic material that integrates Pt metal sites with acidic Al sites on a zeolite-templated carbon framework for use in the electrocatalytic oxidation of biomass-derived glycerol to renewable chemicals. The catalytic effects of acid sites on electrocatalytic glycerol oxidation are investigated and revealed by using a combination of experimental and theoretical evidence. This work provides valuable insights for advancing electrocatalytic oxidation performances through the integration of active acid sites, which have traditionally been leveraged in heterogeneous catalytic reactions.
