This paper aims to develop the expressiveness of children’s living spaces by using milk cartons. As a method of analysis, we set up a “vertical type” and a “horizontal type”, and the influence of the difference of type on the design of the children’s “house” is examined through the production of models and drawings of 42 sixth-grade elementary school students. As a result, we found that the two arrangements made a difference in the activities that children were interested in, which made a difference in the characteristics of the “house” and the changes during production.
