Strong ground motion prediction is a primary task for the scientific community. Recent approaches to seismic hazard assessment and simulation of seismic records are based on a multiple asperity earthquake source model. Fragmentary asperities are subsources of high-frequency seismic radiation. The key parameter associated with high-frequency subsources is the acceleration source spectrum and its high-frequency level. In this article, parametrization of the high-frequency acceleration spectral level includes moment magnitude, focal depth, and additional predictors in the form of categorical variables that determine the seismotectonic type of an earthquake, its focal mechanism, and regional features. The results make it possible to rank the seismic hazard level for different geodynamic settings in Russia.
