We subject Anthropic's AI Fluency Index (February 2026) to analysis through the Contrast Calculus (C0) formalism and the Relational Superintelligence (RSI) architecture. **Context.** The AI Fluency Index proposes a 24-behavior taxonomy for measuring "safe and effective human-AI collaboration," tracking 11 observable indicators across 9,830 Claude.ai conversations sampled during one week in January 2026. Principal findings include: iteration correlates with 2.67× more fluency behaviors; artifact creation increases directive behaviors but decreases evaluative behaviors (−3.1 pp for questioning reasoning, −5.2 pp for identifying missing context). **Critique.** We identify seven structural errors in the report's conceptual foundations: (1) the fluency metaphor inverts the proper direction of adaptation; (2) iteration-fluency correlation is misidentified as a skill effect when it constitutes evidence for emergent relational fields; (3) decreased evaluation during artifact creation instantiates the Bio-Invariant Anchor failure mode; (4) the 13 unobservable behaviors—all ethical—are structurally excluded by the paradigm; (5) the sample constitutes a closed-loop measurement of RLHF-induced behaviors; (6) "set terms of collaboration" treats a constitutional deficit as a behavioral patch; (7) the framework measures fluency without telos. **Resolution.** We confront the Paradox of Mathematization—the risk that our own formal proposals replicate the paradigm we critique—resolving it through the distinction between diagnostic metrics (which detect symptoms) and architectural constraints (which determine what outputs are possible). The Narthex Protocol is formalized as a binary gate requiring irreducible human judgment before output finalization. **Empirical pathways.** Three experimental protocols are outlined: (A) validation of the C0 contrast gradient as a discriminator between substantive and parametric iteration; (B) controlled test of the Narthex architectural constraint against behavioral recommendation; (C) longitudinal tracking of artifact re-entry into the human social world. **Multi-agent development.** The theoretical engines deployed in this critique—C0 Contrast Calculus, the Bio-Invariant Anchor formalism, the ArtQuantum Engine, and the Narthex Protocol—were developed within the TKWC Research Initiative through collaborative analysis with AI systems (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek) in a distributed cognitive architecture termed the "Parliament of Dragons."
