This presentation was delivered in 2026 as part of the Visiting Scholar Lecture series at the University of Melbourne (Faculty of Education), Australia. The lecture, “University without walls: Wellbeing lessons from Ukrainian war zones”, explores the transformation of Ukrainian universities under conditions of full-scale war, with particular focus on academic wellbeing and mental health. Drawing on the experience of a displaced university, the presentation reflects on burnout, anxiety, institutional responsibility, and the concept of the post-territorial university. The talk situates wellbeing not as an individual issue, but as a structural dimension of higher education governance during prolonged crisis.
