The purpose of the study is to identify the main substantive characteristics of the civic consciousness of modern psychology students, as well as their understanding of the rights and responsibilities of citizens and the state in relation to each other. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, survey of psychology students using a developed questionnaire. Research results and conclusions. The study showed that the level of civic consciousness among psychology students is quite high. The defining characteristics of the civic consciousness of psychology students are: recognition of the significant role of the state in addressing the socio-economic problems of society, awareness of the value of citizenship, and understanding of the mutual obligations between the state and citizens, alongside higher expectations of the state compared to those of citizens toward the state.
