Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), particularly Senegal, is characterized by significant gender disparities in business contexts. These disparities manifest across various sectors and at different organisational levels. This theoretical framework article employs a multidisciplinary approach integrating insights from sociology, psychology, and economics to analyse gender dynamics within SSA's business environment, with an emphasis on Senegal. The methodology involves synthesizing existing literature, conducting thematic analysis of relevant studies, and employing qualitative content analysis to identify common themes. This theoretical framework underscores the importance of understanding gender dynamics for effective business strategies in SSA contexts, particularly Senegal. The insights provided offer a foundation for future research and policy recommendations aimed at promoting gender equality in business environments. Future studies should focus on empirical evidence to validate these findings and explore specific interventions that can mitigate existing barriers faced by women entrepreneurs. Policy-makers are encouraged to develop targeted initiatives addressing the unique challenges identified within Senegalese business contexts.
