Regional Rural Banks play a vital role in enhancing rural credit delivery and financial inclusion in India. Evaluating their financial performance is essential for ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency. This study analyzes and compares the financial performance of selected Regional Rural Banks using the CAMEL framework for the period 2019–20 and 2020–21. The CAMEL model examines Capital Adequacy, Asset Quality, Management Efficiency, Earnings Quality, and Liquidity position. Secondary data from published annual reports were used and analyzed through ratio analysis, comparative tables, and graphical trend analysis. The results reveal that KVGB demonstrates stronger capital strength, superior asset quality, efficient management, and stable profitability, while KGB faces moderate challenges mainly related to non-performing assets and higher operating costs. The study confirms the effectiveness of CAMEL as a comprehensive banking performance evaluation tool.
