This article explores the methodological convergences between qualitative research approaches and agile software development methods. Although originating from different disciplinary fields, both paradigms share fundamental principles such as induction, iteration, adaptability, and contextual understanding. Through a conceptual and comparative analysis, the study highlights strong parallels between the stages of qualitative research—data collection, interpretative analysis, and progressive refinement—and the iterative cycles of agile development, including requirements analysis, incremental implementation, and continuous feedback. The findings suggest that agile software development can be understood as a form of applied qualitative inquiry, centered on the progressive understanding of user needs and the continuous evolution of solutions. This reflection promotes an interdisciplinary perspective in which software engineering and the social sciences mutually enrich one another in addressing the growing complexity of contemporary systems.
