CD14 plays a critical role in pain and inflammation across multiple models of post-traumatic osteoarthritis.
Key Points
To evaluate the role of CD14 in pain and inflammation related to post-traumatic osteoarthritis.
Targeting CD14 in synovial and fat pad tissues
Assessing pain levels and disability post-injury
Utilizing multiple models of osteoarthritis
CD14 blockade significantly reduces pain
Improvement in disability scores observed
Effective in multiple osteoarthritis models
Abstract
Our results strongly support that targeting synovial and fat pad inflammation through blockade of CD14 can safely ameliorate OA pain and disability after a pre-disposing injury.
