Abstract This work presents the Dimension Boundary Theory, a speculative cosmological thought experiment exploring the possible origins and types of dimensions. The framework distinguishes between temporal dimensions, alternative (parallel) dimensions, and a proposed third category arising from extreme astrophysical conditions. Building upon concepts from black hole cosmology, Einstein–Cartan gravity, and multiverse hypotheses, the theory suggests that supermassive black holes may reach a critical structural limit at which spacetime continuity breaks, potentially giving rise to new universes. The paper does not claim empirical verification but instead offers a philosophical–cosmological model that seeks to reconcile questions surrounding the origin of spacetime, causality, and the apparent fine-tuning of physical constants. The theory further examines the possible role of conscious observers within a multiverse framework, incorporating anthropic reasoning and participatory cosmology. As a conceptual exploration at the boundary of physics and metaphysics, the Dimension Boundary Theory aims to stimulate further reflection on the generative structure of reality. This work is intended as a conceptual and philosophical exploration rather than a formal physical theory.
