局所病変が進行した血管肉腫患者では，病変部からの出血がしばしば問題となる。持続的出血は患者のQOLを損なうとともに，自宅や施設での生活を困難にする要因であり，可及的速やかに安定した止血状態を得ることが望ましい。皮膚血管肉腫診療ガイドライン2025では，病変部の止血を目的とした治療法として緩和的放射線照射やMohsペーストなどが記載されているが，それらの治療で十分な止血効果を得ることが困難なケースは少なくない。局所病変部からの出血制御が困難な頭部血管肉腫患者において，経カテーテル動脈塞栓術（TAE）により良好な止血効果を得た症例を2例経験した。血管肉腫病変部からの止血を目的としたTAEについて，当科での経験を踏まえて報告する。
